Maggie Grace and Maggie Gyllenhaal

Maggie Grace is an American actor who was born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her best-known roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character in ABC's Lost series, and Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. Following the divorce of her parents her parents separated, she moved to Worthington Ohio in order to settle in Los Angeles. However, in 2001, despite finances, she was able to land her first major part in the web-based video series Rachel's Room playing the main character. Following her win of an Young Artist Award in 2002 for her portrayal of Murder in Greenwich of 15 year young Martha Moxley as a murder victim, she went on to be awarded. Grace appeared as Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television series in 2004. She played the lead role for two seasons, and also won the Screen Actors Guild Award. The show ended in 2005 and Grace would like to be as a film actress, and had played opposite Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. She appeared as Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken the year 2008) in Suburban Girl and The Jane Austen Book Club. The role was reprised in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is a modern version of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace performed the role of Shannon on the finale episode, as well as two additional episodes. Grace appeared on Californication's 6th season, which aired from 2013 to 2014. She is Faith, a groupie who serves as a model for celebrities and attracts the attention from Hank Moody (David Duchovny). As a part of the Gyllenhaal Family she is the daughter and elder sister of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. When she was in her teens She appeared in small roles in her father's movies and co-starred with her older twin brother on Donnie Darko the cult classic. Then she appeared in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal received critical acclaim for her leading performances in the romantic erotic comedy drama Secretary (2002) and in the thriller Sherrybaby (2006) each of which brought her a Golden Globe Award nomination. In 2006, she had a number of commercially successful films, such as World Trade Center. However the role she played in the role of Rachel Dawes that brought her more attention with The Dark Knight (2008). In 2009, she was nominated as the Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her role of a single mom as she appeared in Crazy Heart. Her subsequent roles include Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang and Hysteria. Other roles she has played includes Secret Service agents in White House Down (2013, action thriller) as well as musicians in Frank (2014 and drama The Kindergarten Teacher 2018) as well as the role of the Kindergarten teacher. In 2021 Gyllenhaal made her writing and directing debut with the psychological thriller The Lost Daughter for which she won the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
